*HOT AIR* emerges from a sustained investigation into presence, absence, materiality, immateriality, and the increasingly fragile relationship between object and meaning in contemporary culture. Collected and preserved within the artist's studio, the work contains a finite volume of heated air — a substance that is simultaneously measurable and elusive, tangible and intangible, present and perpetually disappearing.

Positioned somewhere between sculpture, performance, conceptual gesture, atmospheric intervention, and institutional critique, the work continues a lineage that stretches from Marcel Duchamp's redefinition of the art object to Yves Klein's fascination with the immaterial, from Piero Manzoni's radical economies of value to contemporary debates surrounding attention, speculation, and symbolic production.

Air itself occupies a unique position within art history. It is essential yet invisible, everywhere yet difficult to possess. By isolating a specific quantity of heated studio air and presenting it as an autonomous artwork, *HOT AIR* transforms a temporary condition into a lasting proposition. The studio becomes both site and medium; the atmosphere becomes artifact.
